Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl 9 EC (9.3% w/w)

Whip Super contains Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl as an active ingredient which is a selective herbicide having action against Echinochloa sp. and other grassy weeds in soybean and rice. It is a post-emergent herbicide having action on the broad spectrum of grasses. 

MODE OF ACTION :

The active ingredient of Whip Super, Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl is quickly taken up by the leaves and stems of the grassy weeds.

Biochemically, Whip Super predominantly inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the meristem tissues of the grassy weeds.

Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) Classification: Group A

ADVANTAGES :

  • Flexible application window and low dosages: Whip Super is very flexible as far as time of application is concerned. It gives a high level of control against most annual grassy weeds from the two-leaf to the mid-tillering stage at low dosages
  • Remarkably versatile:  Whip Super is a versatile herbicide and can be used in all important broad-leaved crops
  • Broad-spectrum:  Whip super has a wide spectrum of activity and controls most of the important grassy weeds
  • Weed control independent of soil type: Whip Super is taken up via the green plant tissues of the weed and not via the roots. It thus works independently of soil type
  • Safe to succeeding crops: Since Whip Super is rapidly broken down in the soil there is no possibility of damage to either mono or dicotyledonous crops grown in the following season

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:

Soybean: Whip Super is to be applied 15–20 days after sowing when weeds are at the 3–4 leaf stage

Rice: Apply 10-15 days after transplanting when weeds are in the 4-5 leaf stage

Cotton: Apply 20-25 days after sowing

Black gram: Apply 15-20 days of sowing when weeds are at the 3-4 leaf stage
