Technical Name:- Ethiprole 40 + Imidacloprid 40 WG

Glamore is a combination insecticide consisting of Ethiprole and Imidacloprid. It is a very good tool for hopper management thereby avoiding possible hopper burn in the later crop stages. The combination of two different modes of action makes it an excellent tool in resistant management programs.

MODE OF ACTION

Ethiprole has a gamma butyric acid-regulated chloride channel, which acts on the central nervous system. It has a high level of selective toxicity and thus cross-resistance is not likely.

Imidacloprid is antagonistic to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the central nervous system, thus disturbing the proper signal transmission following the excitation of a nerve cell. Consequently, a disorder of the nervous system leads finally to the death of the treated insect.
